November's Virtue of the Month is HONESTY. Below is the link to the Parent Guide.

Samantha is such a great student, and I love having her in class. I can always count on Samantha to be responsible, to do what is right and help those in need. I am so proud of the hard work and perseverance Samantha has shown in her short time in middle school. It's great to have a student that you can fully trust to be their best and bring out the best in others.
Samantha is in 6th grade and was nominated by Mrs. Heimerman.

November is a great time to focus on GRATITUDE!
MODEL GRATITUDE
- Share what you are grateful for with your children, whether through a blessing before a meal or by keeping a family gratitude journal.
BE SPECIFIC
- Instead of general praise, point out specific actions. For example, say, "I appreciate how you helped your sister with her homework".
MAKE IT A HABIT
- Like any skill, gratitude takes practice. Incorporate small, regular activities into your routine, such as a "gratitude tree" or a "gratitude jar" where you can write down things you're thankful for.

As we move into November, it’s a great time to focus on gratitude, staying healthy, and preparing for the colder months ahead. Here are a few reminders and tips to help keep our students (and families) healthy and happy this season!
- Cold and flu season is here! Encourage your child to wash their hands often—especially before eating and after coughing, sneezing, or using the restroom. Proper handwashing with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds is one of the best ways to prevent illness.
- If your child hasn’t received their annual flu shot yet, now is the perfect time. The flu vaccine can help prevent illness or lessen its severity.
- Also, a reminder to make sure all required school immunizations are up to date. If you’ve received an updated record from your provider, please send a copy to the health office.
- If your child has a new medical diagnosis, starts a new medication, or you have updated emergency contact information, please reach out so we can keep our records current.
Thank you for helping us keep all students safe and healthy!
Wishing you and your family a safe, warm, and healthy November!

Make sure your child comes to school dressed for the weather—coat, hat, and gloves. Recess and dismissal times can get chilly quickly this time of year!
