PreK up to 5th grade students are participating in the Wichita Wind Surge Reading Program,
sponsored by Credit Union of America. This four-week program encourages your
child to build their reading skills while earning fun rewards and a free ticket to a
Wichita Wind Surge baseball game. At the game, your child will also receive a
complimentary hot dog, drink, and the chance to join an on-field parade. Please
help cheer them on as they work toward their reading goals!

The Game Plan
When: April 20 – May 15
How it works: Each week represents a “Base Hit.” When your child meets their
reading goal for the week, they move to the next base. After all four weeks, they
“Hit a Home Run for a Wind Surge ticket. Reading goals are set by teachers.

Rewards:
Single: Free ice cream cone from Fuzziwig’s Candy Factory at Scheels
Double: One Play Pass for The Arcade
Triple: Free kid’s meal from Chick-fil-A
Home Run: One free Wichita Wind Surge berm ticket, hot dog, and drink

Game Date: Sunday, May 24 th at 1:05pm
(Gates Open ONE HOUR BEFORE game time at 12:00pm)
The School’s Pre-Game Parade will start at approximately 12:20pm.
Please meet at Section 2 before the game to participate in the on-field parade.
Pick-up will be at the top of Section 19 & 20.

the Wind Surge Box Office at (316) 221-8000. Please note: If tickets are
exchanged for a non–Reading Program game date, your child will not be eligible
to participate in the parade or receive a complimentary hot dog and drink.
