Welcome back to school!!!  We are going to have a GREAT year.  I’m so excited to get started.  We will be working hard, but we will also be having lots of fun while learning.

 Dr. Watson, the Kansas commissioner of education, shared how employers are asking students to be better prepared for the workplace, so our middle school has created an environment that is based on those expectations of an office setting. One area is giving the students the opportunity to be rewarded or have consequences similar to what happens in the workplace. We are all excited about this program. As we talk about building the whole child in education today, academics are always going to be a huge component of schools, but teaching students how to be successful when they leave school is our number one job!
